Welcome to the new website!!

Updated On: Nov 02, 2009 (13:20:00)

A famous scientist once said, " It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change."  This statement can almost be considered a definition for survival in the ever-changing electrical industry.  We, at the Santa Clara County Electrical JATC, recognize the need to adjust and adapt to the new technologies and opportunities that make this industry so compelling.

At the JATC, we recognize that the future presents much uncertainty, but with that uncertainty comes tremendous possibilities.  We can rest assured, that regardless of the challenges and changes that the future presents, we will be dedicated to the task of providing the innovative and real-world skillsets necessary to adapt to those changes, to respond to those possibilities, to make our Union electrical workforce the best it can possibly be...here at the JATC !!!

Welcome to our new Website!!!

National Training Institute

This year the National Training Institute celebrated 20 years of Training Excellence. They opened a new chapter of NTI with the relocation to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The National Training Institute began as Instructor training and has evolved into so much more. While the focus is still on Instructor training through the Professional Education classes and the “How to Teach” courses offered by the NJATC, there is something for everyone involved in the Electrical Industry. From one of the electrical industry's finest Trade Shows to the Graduation it is a week filled with training and information to improve the JATC Instructors, Training Director, Committee Member, Contractor, Chapter Manager, Business Manager…no matter what the role is, the NTI has something to make us more valuable to our organization.

ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP

The Electrical JATC's goal is to provide the highest quality training to those interested in a career in the various fields within the electrical industry.

In addition to receiving skill training on the job, our apprentices are provided trade related classroom training that produces competency and pride that lead to true craftsmanship.
